Bitbrain Ikon App

Bitbrain Ikon App is a software solution designed exclusively for use with Bitbrain Ikon 5ch EEG and Bitbrain Ikon Sleep EEG devices. It allows researchers to define EEG data acquisition, while supporting home-based recording scenarios.

Bitbrain Ikon App is available for Android and Windows

The Android version is distributed as a standalone APK and can be downloaded directly from this page.
The Windows version is embedded within SennsLite and is available as part of the software package. Use this link to download SennsLite for Windows.

Application Structure

Prior to the recording sessions, the researcher is responsible for configuring the study parameters and training the participant in the correct placement of the device and the proper use of the recording interface.

The Recorder provides a simplified recording interface that allows participants to perform EEG recordings independently using a simple start/stop workflow.

Study parameters are defined by the researcher as follows:

• On Android, configuration is performed through the Ikon App Configurator included in the APK.
• On Windows, configuration is performed directly within SennsLite, where Ikon App is embedded, by activating the corresponding module in Settings.

All data management, including data import and export (CSV and EDF), is fully handled within SennsLite, regardless of whether recordings are performed on Android or Windows.

Installation Requirements & Compatibility

Ikon App for Windows

Ikon App for Android
Requires Android 9 or later.
The user interface is primarily designed for smartphone use.
